How Life Settlements Work
Selling your policy is an important financial decision, and it is essential to find a company that can provide you with efficient and professional service and still maintain a sincere, compassionate concern for you. At Life Partners, we deliver that level of service and compassion.
After receiving your application, we will work closely with you and your financial, legal, and insurance advisors to provide you with an important financial tool to meet your present needs.
First, a transaction coordinator will be personally assigned to you. Your transaction coordinator will be your guide through the entire process. Your transaction coordinator's first duty will be to explain the process and answer any questions you may have. Then, your transaction coordinator will verify both your medical status and insurance coverage. During this process, you may be asked to provide additional information which is necessary to properly analyze your policy.
If you qualify, an offer will be extended to you. While we are not able to extend an offer on every policy, we do everything we can to make our best offer to you. It is important to remember that there are no fees for presenting your policy to us and no one will pressure you to sell your policy. An offer will be a percentage of the face value (less the repayment of any loan you may have on the policy). Once you have accepted an offer, contracts will be issued immediately.
With all your paperwork in place, your transaction coordinator will work with the insurance company to transfer the policy and reassign the beneficiary. Following the receipt of all required documentation, your funds will be disbursed from an independent escrow agent to you or your designee within five business days. Life Partners respects your privacy and is dedicated to keeping its promise of confidentiality. Please refer to our Privacy Policy.
